Discussion: I chose this video because it resonates with the numerous instances where I’ve felt like giving up or not trying at all. I often find myself comparing my abilities to others, feeling they can achieve more. However, the video highlighted that the small decisions I make, which seem inconsequential, actually shape where I stand today. It reminded me that while I may not be exactly where I want to be, there are ample opportunities to change my narrative. Although I can’t alter the past, I can work towards making myself and those around me proud. This video has inspired me to keep faith in myself, knowing that my choices will pave the way to success.

I chose this video on discipline because I believe discipline is the foundation of success in any area of life. Whether it’s in sports, academics, career, or personal development, discipline is what separates those who achieve their goals from those who fall short. This video showcases the importance of staying committed to your goals, pushing through challenges, and maintaining focus even when faced with adversity. It’s a reminder that success doesn’t come easy and requires dedication, hard work, and unwavering discipline. Watching this clip motivates me to stay disciplined in pursuit of my own goals and inspires me to never give up, no matter how tough the journey may seem.

I chose this video because having faith in ourselves is a beneficial way of finding inner strength. I often experience self-doubt, and it can be challenging to motivate myself. However, as mentioned in the video, with the right mindset and determination, we can acknowledge our potential. Therefore, achieve whatever we set our minds to. I took my time finding a video that resonates with me and that I can gain from. This video strongly emphasizes that by recognizing our strengths and past achievements, we remind ourselves that we are more than capable of accomplishing any difficulties we may come across.

I chose this video because it’s always nice to remind yourself that you can do anything you out your mind into. Even though some people have a support system, for some it still can feel lonely. As well for those who don’t have a support system and thats okay. It can get hard but that only makes people stronger. All depends on how the situation is seen.

I chose this video because it serves as a reminder that we are often our own worst enemies. Often, our mindset is the only thing preventing us from working toward and achieving our goals. It is much easier to adopt a victim mentality and blame others for our failures. We can’t change the cards we’re dealt, only how we play the hand. In other words, everyone goes through things they can’t control, but it’s critical that we approach these things positively in order to improve our situation. This is easier said than done, but we must work with what we have and develop discipline in order to achieve our goals.

I chose this video because I have looked up to Aj since I was a little girl. That is a funny thing to say because she is not that much older than me. But, I first saw her perform at bluegrass festival when I was 5 or 6 and she must have been 12 or 13. When I first heard her perform I was enamored with her singing, and since then I have gotten to know her and I feel lucky to call her a friend. She inspired me to play music and get into singing as well. Recently, her current band as been taking off, playing music festivals all around the world. This video showcases her singing, her band, her performance, and their success. I would love to be in a band and perform like this one day so this video is inspiring to me.

Hello, my name is Joia and The reason I chose this video as a form of motivation for me is because I am a huge fan of Kobe and what he represented as an athlete. His definition of the “Mamba mentality” helped me get through the many years of basketball I did myself and really pushed me to be an extraordinary athlete. It also helped me to become the best version of myself and allowed me to take that best version of myself and push others to be better and be a true leader. It gave me the motivation I needed daily to be disciplined in everything i do and allowed me to stand for something i am really passionate about. All of his speeches and motivational quotes mean a lot to me and I picked this one but there are many I favor from Kobe Bryant.

I chose this video because excuses always get in the way of our dreams. Whether it’s time, energy, or just wanting to leave everything for the next day but there is always an excuse. Sometimes it just being afraid to fail or be denied which makes us come up with excuses to not do something. As mentioned in the video, being able to have luxuries thing is because there aren’t any excuses, you work hard for them, and you learn that nothing is just handed to you. We have to take advantage of all of the opportunities we have because the only person who holds you back is yourself.

I chose a clip from Taylor Swift’s 2022 New York University Commencement speech because since I was young, she has been one of my role models and favorite singers. Over the course of her career thus far, she has touched the lives of millions of people worldwide, especially the young female population. The overall message of her speech was to be proud of your accomplishments in life and continue to put forth your maximum effort into everything you do in the future and your career. Being that I am so close to graduating, her speech resonated with me. It is at this time next year that I will be walking across the stage for the first time and get to appreciate and thank my parents for supporting me throughout my life to help me get where I am today. This will be the time to reflect on my past accomplishments, learn from my mistakes, and carry with me into my future career the important life lessons I have gathered along the way.

  • Neevada Al Kuba

The reason I chose this video is because Selena Gomez was my favorite actress and singer growing up (and even now), so her message means a lot to me. One of the things she says is that no matter what other people tell you, as long as you believe in yourself, you can do anything you set your mind to. There are always people who are looking to bring you down, it’s important to disregard their negative comments and keep working hard to be the best that you can be. She also says to always be yourself; no matter how much you change yourself to fit in, there will always be people who judge you, so just be who you are. Try to always surround yourself with people you inspire you, and inspire them in return. She mentions how her mom is a big inspiration in her life, which shows how we all need someone in our lives who supports us and loves us for who we are. I relate with the messages in this video clip because I have also experienced everything Selena Gomez talks about, and I agree with her view on how we should react in order to be more happy and comfortable in our lives.

I chose this clip because I was shown this speech by my teacher in elementary school and it has stuck with me ever since. What stuck with me in the video is starting each day by completing a small task such as making a bed. By doing a simple task, it would give a feeling of accomplishment and create a snowball effect of wanting to complete other responsibilities. This video is a reminder that life isn’t fair and that failure is normal. However, we shouldn’t always take caution, but to take calculated risks if we want to make changes to our life. Even if we have terrible days, we would always come home to the bed we had made knowing that we can always try again.

Every morning I listen to motivational videos, or encouraging sermons, but this specific motivational clip settles in differently. It basically depicts desperation to keep going. Even when you are on the ground and feel as if you can’t get up, you must muster up the last bit of energy and courage you have to get back up. My favorite part of this clip was the advise to keep learning because you can learn anything, providing the idea that one’s potential is unlimited. I also favored the contemplation of speeches attached with the background instramental because it gives intensity mixed with a variety of motivation speakers, and their best quotes, mixed in one. I always recommend to my friends to start of their day with a motivational, or sermon, before starting the day because, I learned somewhere, that the first 15 minutes of information you take in for the day will shape how your day goes; always start with positivity.

I choose this video because there are multiple times that I wanted to quit. In which this video really highlights the struggle of someone who wants to quit. Where also it motivate you to keeping going and not quit because the end is a prize that you are glad that you persevered. It highlights that you are not alone and that there are some that depend on you in which motivates you to keep going. In my experience covid and distant learning was really hard which I was not passing my classes. Though I am glad now that I kept going because I am close to the finish line.

I have been lacking a lot of motivation, the closer we get to graduation. This video was a good reminder that I am the captain of my own ship. I have been dealing with self doubt for quite a while now. The video reminded me that trying to have power over something you have no control over, may take over your life. We get to be the master of our own fate. We should be appreciating life more and living life to the fullest.

Hi, my name is Miranda Nunez and I chose this video because it reminded me to not let fear stop me. In the video, Zendaya shows how important it is for us to understand the power in our voice and how we have have the capacity to change the world. She states “never allow that fear to silence you” which is a quote I think applies to several things. We shouldn’t be afraid to do anything in life because that fear will only hold us back. We will be able to achieve anything we put our minds to. With the work, effort, and motivation, we can achieve the “impossible.”

  • Zachary Rodriguez

    https://youtu.be/tbnzAVRZ9Xc?si=n21aUpnFYoOPePJW

Hi my name is Zachary Rodriguez, I chose this motivational video because it is of Denzel Washington, talking at mostly a college graduation. We are coming up on that time in our life were we are about to graduate soon. I think it is important video to watch because he encourages you to take risks and go all in. Do not have a fall back option because the only option should be to go forward and if you are going to fall its going to be forward so you can know what you are going to hit. The key of the video is to never give up because each step of you failing is one step closer to you reaching your goal/success. One that I am going to remember the most is “Dreams without goals, are just dreams”. This is my favorite because we all have dreams but unless we have a plan to execute those dreams they are always going to stay dreams. Overall, this is a great video with great perspective and makes you want to get after it.

I chose this video because anything can happen in your life that breaks you and makes you want to give up. There is always something that can break you, but it also gives you a chance to improve from it. It motivates me to keep on trying and to get past the problems I will go through. We can fight through our struggles if we are willing to do so. No matter what we are going through we must be willing to keep going to reach our goals.

    Amayah Renteria,
Jim Carrey is an individual who is associated with laughter, comedy, and being happy. But that constant 24 hour display he was putting on was not him and was manifesting in other forms of his life. This resulted in him having to take a step away from his work and focus on things that would result in him being happy. In this video he talks about depression, meditation, spirituality, being yourself, dealing with others, and so much more in just 12 little minutes. I chose this video not only because of all the things mentioned above but I also love Jim Carrey from my childhood so it is awesome seeing someone who I looked up to and laughed with being so in touch with their mental health and wellbeing.

  • Gabriela Ochoa Pena

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBrRpb8aLwk

I chose this video because it has a very important message that many people do not consider on a daily basis. The video talks about a person’s worth and how it does not change regardless of the damage you may receive. The man in the video does a great job getting his message across through his example of the dollar bill. In the video, the man balls up, steps on, throws away, and rips apart the dollar bill, while demonstrating that despite its state, it does not change the fact that is worth one dollar. I think this message is really important many people that sometimes think less of themselves because, but it is important to always keep in mind that your worth does not change. I also think that the example used was really good because it is easy to understand and universal.

I chose this video of Taylor Swift’s Billboard award speech because I have looked up to Taylor Swift as a person for a very long time. I have followed her career since I was young and have been inspired by the many things she teaches young women. The overall message that she shares in this speech is something many can learn from. She describes the hardships women in music face in general as well as shares her own personal experiences and how she managed to overcome these challenges. This conveys the message for everyone to focus on doing what they want to do rather than listening to judgement from others.

Watching Steve Buscemi’s account of his experience aiding in the aftermath of 9/11 was incredibly moving and motivational. His selflessness and bravery in returning to his former job as a firefighter to assist his community during such a devastating time left a lasting impact. Buscemi’s humility and dedication to service serve as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit in the face of tragedy. His story is a testament to the power of compassion and solidarity in times of crisis, inspiring viewers to find ways to support and uplift one another in their own communities.

this video is just an everyday motivational video. I honestly like watching clips like this on TikTok to get me pumped up for something. These are typically great for workouts. Chose this one because it has a great upbeat beat In the background. And I love all the choices. I once saw this video on my instagram about 3 years ago when I was going through really tough times. I got into partying a lot, drank every weekend for about a year, had lost my job, got into 2 car crashes literally a month apart, got covid twice, dropped out of school, was in a lot of pain due to my crashes, etc. I got into a really depressed state. This video helped me pick myself up when I had lost all my motivation. I would replay it over and over again whenever things got more tough. It helped me stay on track and reminded me of my importance. After everything had happened to me, I knew I was saved multiple times for a reason. I have a purpose in this life. I started to turn my life around and started to put God first in everything. Thanks to Him and My Family, I am still here today. I absolutely love this video and will continue to keep this video in my life for.a very long time.

This video is a powerful motivational speech. The speakers gives a passionate message about resilience, determination, and the importance of believing in yourself. The speaker emphasizes the idea that setbacks and challenges are opportunities for growth and success. Personally, this video helps me stay focused and motivated when I come across this challenge. My number one hater is myself and I tend to doubt my abilities in everything. Watching this video boosts my confidence and drives me to push past limitations to prove myself wrong that I am capable of doing anything I put my mind to.

I chose this video because I think that a lot of people struggle with simple discipline. Alot of the time that’s what keeps people from achieving their goals. In this video his definition of discipline was to give yourself an order an follow it consistently. This is so that in doing so it makes your life easier in the future. Delayed gratification. This is a very simple concept, but it is not always easy to pick the right choice. I think that building discipline can help in so many aspects of a persons life. Like for example making healthier food choices, increases studying, and putting in more effort into the career you want.

I chose this Ray Lewis motivational video because of the emphasis on effort and how far it can take you in life. I have been watching this video ever since I played high school football, and it has taught me that effort is the one thing that you have control over in your life. Moreover, football is a sport that has taught me how to get back up whenever I fall and fight for whatever I want in this world. Which is why I think I enjoy this video so much because of the way it depicts Ray Lewis pursing his dreams in football with disciple, toughness, and lastly effort.

I was drawn to this video clip because I’ve always found Eric Thomas’s speeches very motivating. Whenever I need a boost of motivation, his speeches never fail to resonate with me. The title immediately caught my attention because it refers to the passion and drive that I believe are essential for achieving our goals. I like that he said “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful” because it shows that in order for success to be achieved, you must have that dedication and commitment. This clip feels like a reminder to stay focused on what truly matters to me and to never give up on my dreams, no matter the obstacles.

I chose this motivational video because David Goggins said some amazing key factors during his speech. During his speech he emphasized the transformative power of self-discipline and personal accountability. In the challenging environment of college, where academic pressure, social distraction, and personal responsibilities often collide, Goggin’s message serves as a powerful reminder that success is not solely determined by talent or circumstances but by one’s ability to persevere through adversity and take control or one’s destiny. His relentless pursuit of excellence, despite facing immense obstacles, inspires students to push beyond their comfort zones, embrace discomfort, and cultivate the mental toughness needed to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Goggins’ story serves as a beacon of hope, showing that with unwavering discipline and a resilient mindset, even the most daunting challenges can be conquered, fueling students’ motivation to strive for greatness one very aspect of their college journey.
