The clip I chose is “Woman Motivational Speech- EVERY WOMAN NEEDS TO WATCH THIS”. Living in this world as a woman is sometimes hard. This video does a good job making women feel like they are worthy and can do it all. This video made me put things in a different perspective. I sometimes struggle with confidence and this video helped me feel a sense of power that I didn’t know I could feel. I recommend that everyone should watch this clip!

The clip that I chose to post is “Don’t quit its possible!” This clip is based of soccer and how people should fight through the pain to succeed. It talks about how you must really want to be successful and not just kind of want it. They also talk about how pain is temporary and at the end of pain is the success. I like this video because I love to watch soccer and have always been motivated by it. It helps me to find motivation in things I like to help me develop that mental toughness to go through the pain.

  • Cristo Montanez

Hello, my name is Cristo Montanez and the motivational clip I chose is from the late Stan Lee. I chose him because of the connection I have with all the characters that has filled everyone’s home at one point or another and the giant impact they have on our lives. In this clip, Stan Lee gives the story of how Spiderman came to be. He describes his process and when he went to present his idea on Spiderman to his publisher it did not go great. His publisher hated it because it made no sense to him. In a way there was no creativity or chances given to try something that has never been done before. Long story short Stan Lee ended up having Spiderman be a favorite among many people and the publisher saw this and switched his entire mood. Like Stan said it’s important to not let people talk you out of your ideas, even though not all of them may be good, you have to give it your best shot doing what you love without anyone to tell you otherwise.

  • Sandra Lopez

Hello My name is Sandra Lopez and I chose the “Always #Likeagirl” advertisement as my motivational video of choice. In the video, they ask different people of all ages what it means to do something “like a girl”. They then proceed to do activities in an overly exaggerated clumsy and sassy manner. This is because this mentality that being a girl means you are weak, unathletic, dramatic, etc. is installed in our heads at a young age. The video then goes and talks about how being a girl makes you no different than being a boy. The overall message motivated me to feel empowered and not discouraged. Anyone, male or female, is capable of doing anything they put their mind to and these stereotypes are simply not true and toxic.

  • Israel Favela

    https://youtu.be/4gi9y3sTrXE
Hello, my name is Israel Favela and I chose the “Mamba Mentality” motivational video inspired by the words of the Kobe Bryant. I chose this video because basketball is my favorite sport and Kobe was my favorite player growing up. The video shows Kobe’s attitude from his early days as a high school student entering the NBA all the way to his retirement. Kobe was one of the most hard working and motivated players in NBA history. His famous “mamba mentality” has become a trademark amongst the NBA’s best players today. Kobe explains why he always put forward the most effort he possibly could to achieve his goals. Kobe explains how the mamba mentality does not simply apply to basketball. Kobe explains how it is a way to approach anything in life because someone should always have a mindset of victory and greatness.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVnDKEcRyUU

I chose this video for two reasons the first reason is that it is very sport related, so the athletes in the video are in peak physical condition and it relates to our health class. The other reason is that it is very motivational for many different subjects. Of course this video shows that it is easy to fail and to be a loser, but nobody wants to be a loser. So you have to challenge yourself and try your best at everything you do and strive to be the best. Everyone has setbacks so it is up to you either or not you will give up or fight your way back to the top. And this video shows all of these things well both through the videos in the background and the narrator’s motivational words.

  • Maria Mendoza

Hello, my name is Maria Mendoza and I chose “Nike: Dream With Us” as a motivational video. In the video, it shares the message of women empowerment, equality, and social justice. It shows that women can become anything they dream of. The video shows the journey of a girl’s dream continuing until she becomes a woman. A dream can be anything an individual wants. It shows that any girl or woman can be the first to achieve their dreams. A dream can be the first to end gender inequality, represent people who look like you, or even a sport to accept you for who you are. https://youtu.be/QqOASjM63Lk

  • Olinka Minas

Hello my name is Olinka MinasJamalabad and I choose the GET UP AND GET IT DONE – Best Motivational Video. I choose this video because it is motivational and there is a lot of meaning to it. the important thing is that it talks about the ability to be, do and have whoever I want. it takes about the begin with the end in mind so whatever your dream or you goal is. This video made me put things in a different perspective. I can tell from this video that if you want you can always do everything

  • Alainna Davis

Hey guys it’s Alainna, the motivational video that I chose is way more light-hearted and it is from one of my favorite mindless TV shows, South Park. I chose this video because my mom is a breast cancer survivor so when I first saw this episode it really resonated with me. She was diagnosed in December of 2016 and we eventually had to proceed with a double mastectomy in February of 2018, the surgery actually ended up being on my birthday but I did not mind because I was right there fighting with my mom. This can be applied to more than just cancer though, we have to fight through many tough things in life. In some situations, you cannot be passive, you have to push to the limits. Even to this day my mom has to fight with the everlasting side-effects of having it, and some days are harder than others, but she always pushes through. I go back and watch this episode a lot and I make her watch it with me too because it is so funny but it has such a motivational message behind it and it will forever be one of my favorites. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhhBYlWNIpk

  • Nnenna Jimmy

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zTCd-k–7A
Hey guys it’s Nnenna, the motivational video that I chose is a clip from the pursuit of happiness. In this clip, Chris is known as will smith is playing basketball with his son and in the beginning, tells his son not to be wasting his time playing basketball when he grows up because he was never good at basketball and believes that he won’t be either. As they pack up to go home, Chris then reminds his son that he should never let anyone tell him he can’t do or be something he wants to do. He explains that if you want something you go get it. I chose this clip because I believe in every word he said. I feel like lately, so many people are so quick to crush other people’s dreams/hopes and make them believe that they could never achieve their goals. I’ve seen it first hand in different situations. This comes to mind even when I think about college I see a lot of people pursuing majors and careers that they aren’t even interested in just because someone said that they aren’t fit for it or that it won’t be as successful another career will and they lose hope in what they love. Ever since I watched this movie senior year that scene stuck with me to this day, to believe in myself and do what will be best for me.

  • Carmen Gonzalez

Hello guys my name is Carmen Gonzalez. The video clip I chose was titled Procrastination- Best Motivational video. The reason why I chose this clip is as the end of the semester nears many of us start to procrastinate. I feel that the video is almost like a wake up call. While the video is very short I recommend watching it especially if you tend to procrastinate. The video for me made me realize I have to stop waiting for things to happen I need to start being productive if I want to accomplish my goals. A quote from the video that resonated with me was ” If you work through the inconveniences they become habits”. The video truly motivated me and I think it will help many get on the right mindset so we can finish the semester strong.

  • Kate Griego

    https://youtu.be/ZI63g64kDgY

    Hello Everyone,

My name is Kate Griego and when trying to find a clip that I could remember that inspired me I find it kind of difficult to find just one. I then thought about the movie RUDY. This movie basically talks about how Rudy goes through all of these obstacles because he has the dream of playing college football at Norte Dame. In the last clip he finally gets his chance and gets to play in the last two plays. The team then goes on to win the game and you can feel his excitement as well as the excitement from his teammates around him. I chose this clip because playing sports myself and having to get through my own obstacles makes you realize how much hard word, motivation, drive you have to have. I think that this movie can be very motivational to sport players that have goals that may seem impossible to their teammates and themselves.

  • Matthew De Berowley

    https://youtu.be/turKE4r_py8

So I know its unorthodox but the story still makes me all sorts of sad and happy and motivates me to try harder in things I’m not doing well in. Even when nothing worked out and everything fell apart. They managed to pull it together and obtain the goal they worked for their whole life not once but twice in a row. Looking at the story it helps me realize that no matter how bad something may look as long as you keep working and do your best it will eventually be okay. Overall it teaches to persevere and believe.

  • Johnny Estrada

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spll56K7ZNg

Hey, My name is Johnny Estrada and I choose is called “Once upon a time” and is a short video of the life and career of the late great Kobe Bryant. I choose this video as the one that motivates me because I am also a huge basketball fan and even if you hated him, you have had to had respected this man. His grit, handwork, dedication, his perseverance, whatever word you want to use was Kobe. He was just a kid who had a dream and did everything he could to make that dream happen. From nonstop working out to having tunnel vision, having his focus on one thing and one thing only he did what he could to ultimately become the best player he can be. Throughout all of this, he ultimately became one of the best basketball players in the world. He went through trials and tribulations throughout his great career but always ended up overcoming them. He was a kid with a dream to a man everybody hated, loved, and ultimately resurrected because of his hard work and never give up mentality known as the Mamba Mentality and he would’t want it any other way. RIP Kobe Bean Bryant.

I chose the scene “I am home” from the movie Freedom Writers. This is more of a sad scene but because of the story this kid is saying it is motivational to the point of gratefulness. The sad scenes are more inspirational because when the character finally gets a win it brings in fulfillment to the viewer. If something happens to where the character does not win, there is the need to bring them justice. These types of movies make me realize my fight isn’t a war, I’ll live through it and survive.

  • Melyza

    https://youtu.be/jpRqbP9Nv9k
Hello, my name is Melyza Guzman and the clip I chose is called, “A guide to believing in yourself…,” by Catherine Reitman. Catherine shares her lessons learned in seeing ideas thru to their completion, not allowing others to reshape your vision and she talks a bit about family dynamics. She is also the creator, executive producer, writer, and star of CBS’s acclaimed original comedy series, Workin’ Moms. When I first listened to her TED talk, her story was very interesting and inspirational and she dealt with so much in her career since she is a female show runner. She would sometimes find herself in these conversations, talking about how key roles in the entertainment industry aren’t going to women. Catherine also mentioned if you’re going to be brave enough to say, “Yes,” to the choice, you should always have the courage to stick to your vision, because it will be tested.” I believe she’s very passionate about her work and she truly shows how hard working she is.

  • Soledad Perez Osorio

    https://youtu.be/-4kzViuTFCc
I chose this video of commitment because we deal with this on our everyday lives. We deal with this when we go to work, in relationships, and our education. We must enjoy the process because it leads us to where we want to be. Once we obtain for whatever we worked hard for, no one can take that away from us because it took our dedication and commitment.

  • Johanna Martinez

Hey everyone my name is Johanna Martinez and the video clip I chose was “Pat Summitt: Be a Teacher and Role Model”. I think this video was very inspirational and motivating because Pat Summit is one of the greatest basketball coaches in the NCAA basketball history like how her bio said. I find it amazing how this woman can be such an inspiration to other young girls and the way she coaches them and give them motivation. She mentions in her video that she hates losing because the game in basketball is basically like real life, life is competitive and you can’t give up too easily. I also like how she shared when her son was cut off from the team she helped him work hard however she made it very clear to him that she wasn’t going to be his engine starter. I love how she loves to teach and really inspires me because I know I will once be a teacher to others and hope to have an impact on them.

  • Juliana Munguia

    https://youtu.be/kAsYHCs_K4s
I chose this video by Michelle Obama because I found it most inspiring. She starts by saying “Who are you going to be?” not “What are you going to do?” meaning how do you plan leaving your life everyday and that is something I needed to hear today. It is important how to react to a hard day, how you work so hard that your weaknesses become your strengths which then this allows you develop new skills with any situation you encounter. This video shows all of that. Obama explains how the ladder in our life will only take us as far as we let it so open up to new people, go the extra mile, and to simply not give up. The skills we develop from our community, our parents, our families is something we need to just enhance and what will allow us to go far in life.

  • Gunndeep Hayer

    https://youtu.be/Wcz_kDCBTBk
This video is really inspiring and stands for so much. Kevin Garnett said this after winning the NBA finals, beating the Lakers. For him, it is the moment he’s been working for and preparing his whole life for. After you experience achieving your main goal of such status it can show you what else is possible. As long as your motivated and oriented towards that goal, anything is doable. At the end of the day we hold the power.

  • Cherise Mori

    https://youtu.be/Q2FdfT3Qn_U

This video is a speech given by Walter Bond. His whole concept is relating your mindset to a shark. This video is specialized a little more for sports. I picked this video because I play softball and a lot of times I do feel like giving up but I remember what he says “if you stop swimming you will die”. I could relate this to anything else in life, not just softball. Basically if you stop working hard you will not be successful. Also that your mindset is everything.

  • Anthony Ruezga

    https://youtu.be/4gi9y3sTrXE
This video was various speeches and clips of Kobe Bryant’s mindset and training sessions. Although I am personally not very much into basketball, I really admire and respect the amount of hard work and effort Bryant put into his passion. His entire mindset and way of being the best possible version of himself really resonates with me. I only recently stumbled upon Bryant and his ‘Mamba Mentality’ when my roommate was watching a documentary about the basketball all-star. Since then, I have been hooked and find myself listening to various motivational speeches he gave time and time again. One of the many great things about videos like this, are they do not have to apply solely to sports, anyone can take Mr. Bryant’s words and apply them to their own life. Push forward, and work hard. Be the best personal version of yourself you can be.

  • Carla Ibarra

Hello, my name is Carla Ibarra. I have chosen this video because I felt like I could strongly relate to what the video is saying. I know that times get tough and giving up is the easiest things to do. I will say that I am one of those people who have made the mistake to give up and find the easy way out. However, I have learned that these small bumps are just the beginning of someone greater. “Pain is the high cost of growth”- Rick Warren

  • Claudia Machuca Zaragoza

I chose this video by the US Navy Admiral, William H. McRaven, because it has been an all time favorite of mine. The first time I saw this video, I was in high school. My history teacher, who I had for first period, played this one time and it stuck with me. Especially because my volleyball coach also emphasized making our bed. She would make us send a picture every morning of our bed made, so she could see we had accomplished the task. I love the part when the video talks about will to succeed and when that is the ultimate goal, nothing else matters. Ethnic background, skin color, or social status do not matter. Only the size of one’s heart and one’s will to be better and succeed matters. McRaven also talks about hope, because anything is possible with it. Being able to complete small tasks and push through hard task, you will change the world.

  • Brandon A Angulo

Hello, my name is Brandon Angulo. For today’s assignment I chose this video because it is a motivational clip that encourages anyone to get what they want to get done completed. It says that there is no excuses to not get done what you always wanted to do and what I like most about it is that is it sport related. The background clip shows people working hard at playing football, basketball and other sports. Back in highschool I was in a football team and these kinds of videos where what helped me continue and not give up while conditioning with my team. Sometimes we want to give up but we need to have the mentality to not surrender and continue fighting and that helps us to motivate ourselves.

  • Gabriel Newton

Hello, my name is Gabriel Newton. For this weeks assignment I decided to choose a video discussing Michael Jordan and his feats, and also showing multiple other athletes and their mindsets towards the topic of pushing forward. This video personally encouraged me throughout the pandemic especially when I was trying for sports because the majority of this video discusses the mindset of excuses. While going through the pandemic there were many excuses that could’ve been made to go get an extra burger or to do nothing all day, but this video motivated me to be determined and self aware of my decisions and how this can effect me later on in life. Also hearing about Michael Jordan and how his accomplishments didn’t happen overnight, but he had to work on them in order to become the player he was motivated me to see that anyone can become like that in their own way through dedication and hard work. Finally, this video overall gave me the mindset to continue to work harder in everything I do no matter if its school or cleaning the house, it allows me to feel accomplished and know that I’m completing a task that can affect me positively in the future.

  • Michelle Franco

    https://youtu.be/yBrRpb8aLwk

My name is Michelle Franco and I have found this video motivational. This video was really important and motivational towards how one sees one another or each other. In this video a dollar was used as an example what he did was stomp on it, rip it and many things and constantly asked what is the value of the dollar. This is where the eye opening part comes in as to where a dollar never loses its value regardless of what is done to it. Thats why it is important to never doubt yourself or make yourself count less just because of what you go through in life. Everyones life is valued and we all go through things just need to learn to overcome them

  • Luis Ramirez

    https://youtu.be/V2EfL1j4KYE

Hi my name is Luis Ramirez. This video was very motivational to me, it was great to see Ali succeed with such tough odds. To see all he accomplished in boxing and outside of it as well. The video adds to it, but Ali is very inspirational outside of the boxing world. The way he spoke his mind despite it not being popular. For example, when he talked about racial discrimination or how terrible the war in Vietnam was. He even went to the USSR in the middle of the cold war, the man is an inspiration.

  • andrew khim

    https://youtu.be/LG_f1GzmwHo
The video I selected that I found motivational has to be hall of famed Ed Reeds halftime motivational speech when he was at the University of Miami. This is not your typical motivational video that has minutes given. This video is a 14 second speech of safety Ed reed expression his emotion in sports. He states To teammates “I’m hurt dog, don’t ask me if I’m alright. Hell nah, Joaquin said dominate and we not doing it. I put my heart in this sh*t dog. Let’s go man.” Sorry for the foul language but in phrasing what he said in the video. Ed reed is expressing his pain and emotion that he feels like he’s giving his all in a competitive game and feels like he’s the only one trying. He’s emotional that his team isn’t dominating like what his coach said to. He expresses his passion for the game and is willing to go 110% every snap. I chose this because not only I enjoy watching football but I am acknowledging a leader that is willing to sacrifice his all to win a game with his teammates. Great leadership comes with great responsibility and he feels like he’s the only one putting effort. This was before he became an all-pro hall of famer for the Baltimore ravens.
