I chose Tom Brady because he is probably the best Quarterback in the history of the NFL. As a very bottom pick in the NFL draft he lived up to his opportunity of being the quarterback for the Patriots. The way he plays the game and leads his team shows why he is the best and why he wins all the time no matter where he plays. As soon as he steps foot on that field its all business to him and he holds himself and his team to the highest possible standard. His team trusts him and he trusts his team and that's why the team chemistry is so good. that is why they win and why i chose Tom Brady as a good leader.

I chose Kanye West as a leader that I find inspirational to me. I know it may be an odd pick but I truly believe that Kanye inspires people through his words and music. When Kanye won his Grammy in 2005 for the college dropout album it showed the world that he was willing to do whatever it took to get there. He suffered a severe accident that year which left him unable to even speak for months with his mouth wired shut. But he was determined to make something bigger than himself. Kanye not only does these things for himself but he has been making music for so long that he has inspired so many younger artists to follow in his footsteps to make their music. If you listen to almost any other rap artist out there they will say they had inspiration from Kanye’s music to make their own. And I’m recent times he has looked more to God in his music which is unheard of is rap. He makes songs that are about God and the good things in life rather than the wrong and the sins of life.

I choose Tom Brady has someone that I think is very inspirational to me. Many people don't like Tom Brady for a variety of reasons but I think the reason while people don't like him is the fact that he is a winner. Tom Brady has taught me to stop at nothing to reach success. Even his old age and the haters aren't stopping him from reaching his goals and winning a Super Bowl. Tom is a tremendous leader on the field by holding everybody accountable. He also leads by example and does a great job at doing it. Younger athletes and his teammates look up to him and listen to what he has to say. For me, when I think of a great leader, Tom Brady is the first one that comes to mind.

I have been very blessed to have a variety of great leaders throughout my life, however, Kobe Bryant will forever be someone who I look up to. I believe he left an incredible legacy. He did whatever it took to become successful in life, for both him and his teammates. Mamba mentality means so much when you actually think about it. I believe the best thing about Kobe is how he showed up. He was a reliable guy, which is something I think leaders take pride in. Being reliable is easy yet complicated and underrated at times. Another factor I think it takes to be a leader, is to have a strong work ethic and be passionate. It makes it easier for people to respect and buy in whenever they don't have to question your work ethic nor passion. Kobe's passion and work ethic is what sets him apart from others. It's what lead him to greatness.

For my leader I chose the one and only Mike Ditka. Coach Ditka was the legendary coach for the '85 Bears and lead them to the super bowl. Coach Ditka had a vision for his team "In three years we will be at the dance." From day one he told his players this, and told them that they would not be joining him there if they did not put in the effort. I chose coach Ditka because I am a big Chicago Bears fan, and a fan of his leadership style. Players said that they were scared to be coached by him but he came through on everything he said, and for me personally follow through is one of the key things you have to do as a leader.

I chose Tommy Lasorda as an excellent leader. He has been a director, vice president and advisor to the Los Angeles Dodgers and has contributed to the development of the team for nearly 70 years. He loved baseball very much. His passion for baseball has influenced players, spectators and others, and has revolutionized the world of baseball. He was a good communicator and his passion was always with the players. In the early '70s when he was the director, the director was in sovereignty. However, his policy was mainly for players. He was a director, but he wanted to be a "cheerleader". He believed that winning or losing was determined by the ability of the players and that encouraging, complimenting, and comforting the players was the essence of the manager. His habit was, "There is nothing the manager can do. Just set the stage so that the players can play comfortably." In recent years, strategies have been created based on precise data analysis and statistics, and the level of baseball has become very high, but it is the players themselves who decide the final victory. You may need a leader like him to develop many talented people

I chose this video of Lebron James talking about leadership and what it takes to be a leader because I have always looked up to him. Lebron is one of the greatest players if not the greatest in the NBA. He is a true example of a leader on and off the court. He leads vocally and by example. Also another thing that he does is mentor his younger and even older teammates. He always finds a way to get somebody better through words or even showing them on the court. Coming into the NBA some people said he was gonna be a bust and never live up to the hype but he certainly proved everybody wrong. He never gave up on himself and worked harder than anybody else. This is what a true leader looks like, coaching up his teammates and showing them how it's done.

I chose Jimmy Butler as a leader that I look up to because of his ability to pull his teammates along with him to be great. He got a lot of backlash with how he handled his teammates in Minnesota and I think a lot of people questioned how good of a leader he really was. But I think after his Finals run he made with his young Miami teammates in a very tough COVID bubble playoff season, showed how good of a leader he really is. He has high demands of his teammates, but it works because he also has high demands of himself. He is known for his defensive effort and overall grit, and it obviously rubs off on his teammates. He has a unique way of mixing tough love and competitiveness, with his ability to communicate and build confidence in his teammates. And in the video you can see that his teammates look up to him and recognize him as their leader. This all works because Jimmy Butler does all of the little things and the "ugly" things to win. If all he did was shoot 25 shots a game and then complained to the media after games, he would never get the buy in from his teammates.

I chose Nick Saban as an inspiring leader because he finds a way to lead his team to success year in and year out. He is the definition of discipline and consistency. He brings those traits out in his players. He demands a lot from his team and holds every one in the program accountable. In this video, he talks to his team about toughness. He asks his team, "What does it take to break you?" He also, makes an analogy about windows. He says that you can tell which window is better by seeing what it takes to break each one. He implies that the better football team will be the one who doesn't break and stays tough when things get difficult.

I chose Elon Musk an inspiring leader to me. Not only does Elon Musk lead one company, but he leads multiple. Examples include Tesla, SpaceX, The Boring Company, etc. As the clip below specifies, Elon Musk adherently shows many characteristics that leaders must have. Examples include take risks, attract great people, never give up, and work super hard, just to name a few. Musk took massive risks when starting each and every one of his companies. When starting up SpaceX he was days away from going bankrupt and was able to pull the company out with his own money and dedication to his company. This example alone uses the characteristics of taking great risk, never giving up, and putting in the work. Being that SpaceX is now doing better than ever it appears he also attracted the right people to the company. These are just a few reasons why Elon Musk is a great leader and is bound to become even greater of one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zX7I_Rw8Q0I
