This video seems to be age restricted due to the violent nature of the accident. I chose this video because it tells the story of Ken Roczen's return to the sport of motocross after a traumatic arm injury in 2017. Ken Roczen is a professional motocross racer who, during a race, had an unnatural takeoff from a jump, causing the nose of his bike to dive and him to bail from his bike over 30 feet in the air. He slammed headfirst into the back of a landing and destroyed his left arm. I remember watching the crash live and thinking that that was it - that he would never return to the sport. However, after an intense recovery, he not only returned to riding motorcycles, but still competes at the highest level to this day. His return to the sport from such a brutal injury is both inspiring and motivating.

https://youtu.be/0O65HU5BqiA?si=ysZZuYFWMd8nAF3l
I selected this video because it reminds me that progress is made not only by the big wins but also by the daily decisions to keep going, even when things get tough. The message about letting go of past mistakes and embracing the possibility of new paths resonated with me, especially as we’re nearing the end of the semester and everything feels more intense. It reinforces the idea that we don’t have to be defined by what we’ve done, but rather by what we choose to do next. Additionally, I liked how it speaks to the power of self-forgiveness and stepping into the kind of person we want to become, which is something I’m working on personally. Watching this motivates me to finish the term strong, push past fatigue or distraction, and make these last weeks count.

I came across this video on TikTok and saved it because I liked the message it had. The video basically talks about how we have one life and how the person wants to live their life to the fullest. That is something I aspire to do. I am starting to realize just how short a year actually is. The year flies by in the blink of an eye. This semester has felt very fast, and I am excited, but nervous, because it is my last semester. I would like to live my life to the fullest potential that I can. I want to do that by traveling and trying new things.

I picked this video because it motivates me and reminds me how far hard work can take you. Even though Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players in the world, he still stays focused, disciplined, and determined, which I find really inspiring. It shows that success doesn’t just come from talent, but it comes from putting in effort every day. This video also made me think about my own goals and how important it is to stay consistent, even when things get tough. Overall, it encourages me to keep pushing myself and to build better habits that help me grow.

Emilio Sanchez https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hQffDA7GN7c I chose this video because this is one of my new favorite movies that I've watched this year, and it made me reflect a lot on myself. This movie goes into falling into addiction and showing how it can quickly spiral and alter you neurologically in such a quick period of time and can effect the relationships of those around you. The raw emotion and combativeness shows how important it is to take care of your own mental and emotional health without relying on unhealthy addictions that could cause unrepairable damage for the rest of your life. It also shows how if you are put in a situation where someone else is suffering, how to show your support and provide help without it being a detriment to yourself. It really adding a different mindset when it comes to addiction and how to catch signs from those that I care for and how to provide treatment.

I found this video as motivational because it shows that if you don't push yourself to change your wont. You can talk all you want about wanting to change but if you don't put it into action everything will stay the same. One of the examples is how the man mentions wanting to lose weight and talks about how you continue to eat and you'll get mad at yourself but continue living this lifestyle. Overall, this video was motivating but also helped put you in check with reality and how stuff really works. https://youtu.be/H5ExSyGTgt4?si=yf14JOKP1uWExNq_

The video I chose was by a football player, Inky Johnson. It is a story about a man who came from nothing and was about to make it to the NFL before he suffered an injury that almost killed him and ended his football career. Inky Johnson goes through all the work he put in to make it to College football to the NFL. Inky stayed loyal to his high school with horrible dropout rates and a bad football team, and still made it D1. Inky details how getting to go on his college visit to Tennessee was the first time he ever got to sleep in a bed by himself. Inky Johnson's speech goes through all of his emotions of figuring out, accepting, and growing from the results of the injury he suffered. I found it really inspiring how he did not let a tragedy determine and pull down the rest of his life. I chose this video/ speech because of all the countless times of determination and relentlessness he shows across his multiple stories on how he made it and what he was able to change and affect his family and community while still falling short of his ultimate dream.

I chose this video because the speech from Rocky Balboa is one of the most motivational clips I’ve ever seen. Rocky talks about how life will knock you down, but what matters most is how you get back up and keep moving forward. This message really resonates with me because it reminds me that failure and challenges are part of life, but perseverance is what defines success. It’s easy to get discouraged when things don’t go as planned, but hearing this speech always pushes me to stay strong and not give up. I think everyone can relate to this message in some way, whether it’s in school, work, or personal goals, it’s about resilience and determination. - Shareil Bot

The video I chose is titled "If you're not motivated, do this" by Russel Wofford. I chose this video because it helps as a reminder to take action even when I have a lack of motivation. I tend to overthink a lot and worry about things I have to get done but the video helps remind me that taking action is better than overthinking. Sometimes it's hard to get started on a task but I learned that momentum comes from doing and waiting around just leads to more procrastination. Taking small steps is super important. This is something I need to remind myself of everyday because I focus on the big picture a lot and it overwhelms me which leads to even more procrastination due to perfectionism. I like that this video reminds me that its important to just do, you do not have to have a perfect plan, just start and do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGhobd9nGoU&list=WL&index=211

A motivational speech that speaks to me is Stan Lee's speech from the UCLA extension certificate graduation ceremony in 2017. I chose this clip because what he said about following your own ideas and going down your own path is something I hope to follow. I tend to be a people pleaser and struggle with put others before myself but hearing this speech helped me realize if I have an idea I can go after it no matter what other people say. Having someone I look up too, like Stan Lee, say you should follow your dreams because you will be proud of what you do helped me realize I do want to be proud and make a mark. If I want to do what I'm passionate about, I need to take the first step and take a shot even if it's out of my comfort zone.
