The user Profound Pondering posts a lot of motivational videos to help others to think more positively, to choose ourselves, and to embrace personal growth. The video clip “How to stop overthinking | Choose yourself,” the message I got was to go with the flow, learn along the way, and to not overthink the outcome. For as long as we are alive, we still have the power to try again. The overthinking isn’t worth it, things are temporary and life is meant to be enjoyed, not controlled by your negative thoughts. Figure out what is tiring your inner self and find ways to heal and improve. Make a change or say something, many opportunities are missed because of a “what if..” question that appears in our minds. Learn to let go and choose yourself. How to stop overthinking| Choose Yourself

I chose this video on how important it is to stay focused on your goals because it was a reminder to myself that if I really want to achieve my goals, I need to keep working hard towards doing so. Even though I chose this video for myself, it could be something someone else may need to hear as well. Focusing on my goals and what I want for my future has really been on my mind lately. So, I am really glad that I chose this video because it helped me remember that I need to keep going and not give up on what I want. This video made me think of Eminem’s song Lose Yourself because there is a line in that song that says “You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow. This opportunity comes once in a lifetime…”. That line relates to this video because it almost asks us if we are going to take the opportunity that was put in front of us or are we going to miss it. It is just something to think about, and if anyone else watches this video, I hope you find it inspirational like I did.

Without a doubt, Kanye West is my favorite musician of all time. Personally, I think he is the greatest ever. The ability to constantly reinvent yourself and push the boundaries of music is something that has inspired me. His self-belief and confidence is something that is needed in the music industry where everyone cares about their numbers or sitting on the charts. Yet, Kanye does the opposite. How do you drop graduation, an album that sold nearly a million first week, and then drop 808s right after? How do you drop My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, one of the most acclaimed albums ever, and then drop Yeezus? His ability to purposefully put himself out of his comfort zone and drop everlasting art moves me. This video highlights what is needed to be successful… trust in your vision and unconditional belief in yourself. https://youtu.be/Z4WOnFX0yoA?si=8XdIVi5RRwkZeSYD

I chose this short video of Steve Harvey because it was straight to the point. Being successful in life may seem very hard at points in our life. Sometimes we often tend to give up when things start to get complicated. However, in the video Steve says it perfectly. Things aren't meant to be comfortable all the time. Sometime we will be uncomfortable but it is all a part of the process. Good things take hard work and if you are willing to put in the work you will be successful.

I use this clip as a daily reminder to not give up regardless of all the negative limitations that are placed upon me. It also reminds me that although having my supports belief in me does help but I have to believe in myself first to work harder towards my goals. Michelle Obama has always been someone who I admire, her words are powerful. As a female myself she is an inspiration as a woman who has power and the ability to make a change. Her words and the way she holds herself high reassures me that if she can do it, I can do it too.

Hello, my name is America Aguirre. I chose a clip by Natacha Océane titled “How to Become the Person You’ve Always Wanted to Be.” Natacha is a fitness and lifestyle creator known for using science-based information to help people live healthier and more intentional lives. In this video, she explains the mindset shifts that helped her grow into a stronger and more confident version of herself. One of the things we can learn from her is that discipline and small daily choices matter more than perfection. I chose this clip because her message about becoming the best version of yourself is honest, encouraging, and very relatable. She inspires me because she leads by example and shows that leadership begins with self-improvement and consistency. Her attitude, authenticity, and commitment to personal growth are qualities that make her a strong leader and a positive influence on others.

I chose this video clip because it discusses how we should stop speaking to ourselves in a negative way. I don’t like what I do, as it really affects me, and the thoughts really consume me, especially about who says these negative things. It’s very motivating because to stop this negative talk, you need to address it and replace it with something more supportive. The speaker is truly passionate about encouraging us all to adopt this mindset change. I think this video is really empowering because it can help others confront the voice in their head to change to be more positive and uplifting.

I came across a video on TIKTok this past summer explaining this video and what the term "mudita" meant. Once I learned, it changed my perspective entirely. Mudita means to find joy in other people's success, which is huge in college sports. As a student athlete, I am always competing with the people around me for a spot and it could be so draining when I work so hard and not get the exact role I want. But, instead of letting this ruin my experiences and make me less happy, I learned how to find joy in the people around me who succeed. I learned that it does not take away from my successes and my worthiness. It is so important to practice mudita, and I am still learning to this day.

I chose this video because it encourages the mindset of "living in the moment." This is a statement that I live by and encourage my friends to do. Being present in the moment helps you find value in the circumstances you're in, even when they are difficult. To stop worrying about things that you cannot control and just live. Make the most of the situation you are in and enjoy. Do not focus on "where you would rather be," which causes you to miss important moments or happiness.

I chose this video because it always gives me motivation when I need it the most. He talks about "Getting back to work" not letting anything get in your way and having a strong mentality. I loved when he said stop hearing yourself talk also to get off social media, because I think that is a huge distraction for people know days it's super addicting and makes people lazy. I loved the part when he said cut off all the noice and get back in the mental lab. Being locked in is the greatest feeling ever and getting into ur mental lab and locking in will always get you back to work.

I chose this video because it does an amazing job of showing how the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference in someone's life. The man in the video goes through his day doing good deeds without ever expecting money or recognition in return. Instead, he gets something more meaningful and fulfilling. He gets the emotional reward of witnessing happiness, love, and a world made more beautiful because of his actions. In our world where people are often busy, stressed, and disconnected, seeing someone do an act of kindness can inspire others to do the same. Unfortunately, another guy from the video was seen disappointed when he saw the main character giving money to the homeless child. Eventually, you can see his attitude shift as he realizes the man actually made a huge impact on the child's life. This video really touched me on a personal level, and I even teared up a bit because it showed me how we all have the power to be something good in someone's world of bad.

The following clip I chose is a snippet from the movie Rocky III, where Apollo Creed gets upset at Rocky because he's not motivated to train. In response to his lack of motivation, Creed tells Rocky, "…there is no tomorrow", making it an iconic scene for many that watched the movie. Although the clip is fictional, I chose the clip because there are often times where I would rather relax and postpone whatever work I need to do because I don't feel like doing it. Even though it's necessary to rest, postponing work can limit one's potential and growth because they aren't putting time into developing their craft. If I'm ever lacking motivation to do something, I come back and watch this video every now and then. There Is No Tomorrow!

I came across this video while browsing TED Talks, and it caught my attention because my friend and I had just been discussing how you often need to be uncomfortable before you can become comfortable. Something that seems so simple is incredibly difficult, yet it can be rewarding, and Luvvie Ajayi Jones is a great example of that. She talks about the different things she pushed herself to do and explains how fear is sometimes the only thing holding us back. I feel like I understand that on a subconscious level, but once I find comfort in something, it becomes hard to step outside what I know. Still, her speech serves as a reminder that initial discomfort is normal and can help us grow into the best versions of ourselves.

The video I picked was by a Youtuber that is more commonly known for his gameplay videos, Markiplier. In the video, "Watch This Video When You're Feeling Down," Markiplier shares his own experiences encountering various struggles throughout his life. One thing I found motivating about this video was that it had one simple message that doesn't try to find a solution for you. That message was Markiplier's belief in everyone. That you can find your way to your goals as long as you don't give up in the process. As someone who has gone through many challenges, I can agree that there have been many sacrifices and hurdles I would have never thought I could make it out of. However, even if many things seemed impossible to me in the beginning, I still tried and that effort has brought me to be the person I am today. So, just as Markiplier emphasized in his video, I emphasize just as much that I believe in all of you! Let's finish off this semester strong!

I chose Angela Duckworth's TED Talk "Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance" because it perfectly explains the importance of staying committed to long term goals. In the video Duckworth explains that grit, a combination of passion and perseverance is one of the most important predictors of success in life. This message is deeply motivating to me because it emphasizes effort over talent showing that everyone can achieve great things through dedication. The talk inspired me to approach challenges with a mindset, that values persistence, even when results take time. Every time I face difficulties in my studies or personal goals I will remember the message from this video "successes built on sustained effort and determination". https://youtu.be/GfF2e0vyGM4

I choose to use this video because it has a big meaning to me in life. It truly motivates to do better in life such as school, gym, work, and my career. Whenever I don't feel to have any motivation to get up and be great for myself I always reply this video and it boosts my energy to want to be great. I just have always been the type of person to want to be great in life and more for my family. My parents are very hardworking people so I never want to disappoint them and I want to be great for them. David Goggins

    Work-life balance—Jeff Bezos
I‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ selected this video because it provided me with a completely new perspective on the concept of work-life balance. Jeff Bezos says that we shouldn’t try to" balance" work and personal life but rather create harmony between them. The reason I found it to be very inspiring is that it mainly conveys the idea of having enough energy in both spheres of life, which then has a positive reverberation on each other. Also, it made me think about the kind of energy that I bring to work, school, or home situations. This video is like a personal trainer who pushes me to focus on work, competition, or sport, which at the same time provides me with energy instead of just juggling the hours which in turn I will be able to keep up my motivation till the end of the semester. To sum up, it is an affirmation that personal and professional growth can be a source of strength for each other, instead of a battle for ‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌supremacy.

I found this inspirational message delivered by none other than Denzel Washington. I think this was a graduation speech for college students who were about to enter adulthood which is same path that I’m on myself. .I resonated well with this video because Denzel, to me, is someone who has failed, trusted his faith, and persevered and that is what I resonate with in an attempt to adopt that same process. There were two quotes in this video that stuck with me. As an example, "embrace it because it's inevitable." referring to the reality that we will inevitably fail at some point in our life. Therefore, accept it, draw lessons from it, and improve. I also valued the second piece of advice: "If you aren't failing, you aren't trying." I'm glad he brought it up since I personally want to work on this. It served as a good reminder to just keep going and in his words, “fall forward”.

The video spoke to me because it reminded me that I have more strength and potential than I usually give myself credit for. When it talked about pushing past excuses it made me think about times when I wanted to give up but still kept going. It also made me feel like I can finish the semester strong if I stay focused and put in real effort. The message felt real because it was short but still pushed me to think about how much I can do when I actually try. It basically motivated me to stop holding back and believe in myself more. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1dtfI4ojAck

https://youtu.be/H5ExSyGTgt4?si=-XIIU77nlBiQFBxy This video is trying to push people to stop waiting around and actually take action in their lives. It explains that nothing will improve if you keep doing the same things every day, which feels pretty true. The whole video is meant to hype you up and make you think about what you really want. It reminds you that progress does not just appear out of nowhere and that you have to choose to change something first. The motivation behind it is to encourage people to stop being scared of trying and finally take that first step. Overall, it wants viewers to wake up and chase the version of themselves they keep imagining.

I chose this video because growing up, I was so worried about being last so I would want to put myself in the averages. I would not mind being second to last as long as I was not last. This might be okay for some people but to me, it started to become like a loser thing to do. I had the winner mentality but not the winner commitment. My favorite motivational video for years was one similar to this, I started to work harder, spend hours on the courts and get home in the A.M. I wanted to be the best I could be. I am now a player who wants to be the best player on the court, if I am not scoring the most, or helping my team to win the most, I consider it a loss for my journey. Micheal Jordan in this video explains how his mentality had to change if he wanted to be the greatest, and not be average.

Tom Brady's speech hit home for me. My 13 year old daughter plays travel softball at the highest level. She is athletic, a great teammate, and works very hard. But for the last 1.5 years she couldn't hit the ball. She would strike out almost every time. She was benched every Sunday during bracket play because she could not hit. She got to work. At 12 years old she started getting up on her own at 6am every morning before school to do tee work. She put in thousands of reps and spent hours at lessons. One and a half years later, halfway through this fall season, she had a break through. Week after week she started consistently hitting singles and triples. She now has the 3rd highest batting average on her team and starts every Sunday bracket game. Consistency pays off.

    MAMBA MENTALITY
This video hits me differently because I relied on the mamba mentality not just in sports but in school because I have a learning disability and the odds were always against me on everything. When Kobe said never rest in the middle but at the end. Which it means never feel comfortable when halfway because the job is not finished. When Kobe scores 60 is like me getting an A plus on an essay or exam on how much studying I did. Therefore, the mamba mentality can be used on any occasion not just purely sports. https://youtu.be/xd-9D3GzUpo?si=g60Kh4IX5TIew_GG

I decided to go with a clip from the Apple TV show Ted Lasso as it is one that means a lot to me. It was such an impactful show and he talks about self belief and how that belief is not the sign that he put up but it is something that is within all of us. Something that he says here is “You know what I want to mess around with? The belief that I matter you know? Regardless of what I do or don’t achieve.” and that is something that is so important, you need to be proud of yourself. One set back should not get rid of all of your self belief and it does not make every other accomplishment that you have disappear. It is so easy to get stuck in a negative mindset that we do not even realize that it is happening until we are deep into it, believe in yourself because sometimes all you have is yourself and that is enough. Be you proudly and believe in yourself like you never have before, push through because belief is within you, sometimes we just have to dig a little deep for it.

I choose this speech because I am a big Goggins fan. This clip is significant to me because at times I have struggled to be consistent. Some days I wake up and just think that I cannot do it. There is always thing in your mind that is telling you to stop but your body has so much more. This speech has helped me to push through somethings that I could not do. You have to remind yourself that you have so much more than you think that you do. Goggins' mentality has helped me to reach some goals that I had thought were unimaginable like running a sub 5 minute mile. BE CONSISTENT – David Goggins Motivational Speech

The clip I chose is a spoiler to the movie The Pursuit of Happiness. It is the scene of will smith getting hired at the end of the movie. This scene holds significance as it was a culmination of his relentless efforts and drive to better his situation and take care of his family. I find it motivating as it goes to show that if you're persistent enough, and put in enough effort consistently, then things can get better for you. There were many ups in downs throughout the movie, but the effort to see things through the hardships is something that inspires me to push on when things get tough for myself.

  • Khatera jan Rahmani

Khatera Jan Rahmani – I chose this video because it powerfully reminds me that success in sports, and in life, comes not just from talent but from perseverance and consistent effort. The athletes featured display moments of struggle, doubt, and setbacksbut they push through and keep showing up, which inspires me. Watching them overcome obstacles makes me reflect on my own challenges outside the athletic field and how I can apply the same mindset of “not quitting” and pushing past comfort zones. It also shows that motivation isn’t always about winning, but about growth, resilience, and showing up for yourself every day. This clip motivates me to finish the semester strong, stay committed, and give my best effort in all classes, just like an athlete finishes a season with pride no matter the scoreboard. A motivational speech that speaks to me is Stan Lee's speech from the UCLA extension certificate graduation ceremony in 2017. I chose this clip because what he said about following your own ideas and going down your own path is something I hope to follow. I tend to be a people pleaser and struggle with put others before myself but hearing this speech helped me realize if I have an idea I can go after it no matter what other people say. Having someone I look up too, like Stan Lee, say you should follow your dreams because you will be proud of what you do helped me realize I do want to be proud and make a mark. If I want to do what I'm passionate about, I need to take the first step and take a shot even if it's out of my comfort zone.

The video I chose is titled "If you're not motivated, do this" by Russel Wofford. I chose this video because it helps as a reminder to take action even when I have a lack of motivation. I tend to overthink a lot and worry about things I have to get done but the video helps remind me that taking action is better than overthinking. Sometimes it's hard to get started on a task but I learned that momentum comes from doing and waiting around just leads to more procrastination. Taking small steps is super important. This is something I need to remind myself of everyday because I focus on the big picture a lot and it overwhelms me which leads to even more procrastination due to perfectionism. I like that this video reminds me that its important to just do, you do not have to have a perfect plan, just start and do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGhobd9nGoU&list=WL&index=211

I chose this video because the speech from Rocky Balboa is one of the most motivational clips I’ve ever seen. Rocky talks about how life will knock you down, but what matters most is how you get back up and keep moving forward. This message really resonates with me because it reminds me that failure and challenges are part of life, but perseverance is what defines success. It’s easy to get discouraged when things don’t go as planned, but hearing this speech always pushes me to stay strong and not give up. I think everyone can relate to this message in some way, whether it’s in school, work, or personal goals, it’s about resilience and determination. – Shareil Bot

The video I chose was by a football player, Inky Johnson. It is a story about a man who came from nothing and was about to make it to the NFL before he suffered an injury that almost killed him and ended his football career. Inky Johnson goes through all the work he put in to make it to College football to the NFL. Inky stayed loyal to his high school with horrible dropout rates and a bad football team, and still made it D1. Inky details how getting to go on his college visit to Tennessee was the first time he ever got to sleep in a bed by himself. Inky Johnson's speech goes through all of his emotions of figuring out, accepting, and growing from the results of the injury he suffered. I found it really inspiring how he did not let a tragedy determine and pull down the rest of his life. I chose this video/ speech because of all the countless times of determination and relentlessness he shows across his multiple stories on how he made it and what he was able to change and affect his family and community while still falling short of his ultimate dream.

  • Alexander Bonilla

I found this video as motivational because it shows that if you don't push yourself to change your wont. You can talk all you want about wanting to change but if you don't put it into action everything will stay the same. One of the examples is how the man mentions wanting to lose weight and talks about how you continue to eat and you'll get mad at yourself but continue living this lifestyle. Overall, this video was motivating but also helped put you in check with reality and how stuff really works. https://youtu.be/H5ExSyGTgt4?si=yf14JOKP1uWExNq_

  • Emilio

Emilio Sanchez https://www.youtube.com/shorts/hQffDA7GN7c I chose this video because this is one of my new favorite movies that I've watched this year, and it made me reflect a lot on myself. This movie goes into falling into addiction and showing how it can quickly spiral and alter you neurologically in such a quick period of time and can effect the relationships of those around you. The raw emotion and combativeness shows how important it is to take care of your own mental and emotional health without relying on unhealthy addictions that could cause unrepairable damage for the rest of your life. It also shows how if you are put in a situation where someone else is suffering, how to show your support and provide help without it being a detriment to yourself. It really adding a different mindset when it comes to addiction and how to catch signs from those that I care for and how to provide treatment.

I picked this video because it motivates me and reminds me how far hard work can take you. Even though Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the best soccer players in the world, he still stays focused, disciplined, and determined, which I find really inspiring. It shows that success doesn’t just come from talent, but it comes from putting in effort every day. This video also made me think about my own goals and how important it is to stay consistent, even when things get tough. Overall, it encourages me to keep pushing myself and to build better habits that help me grow.

I came across this video on TikTok and saved it because I liked the message it had. The video basically talks about how we have one life and how the person wants to live their life to the fullest. That is something I aspire to do. I am starting to realize just how short a year actually is. The year flies by in the blink of an eye. This semester has felt very fast, and I am excited, but nervous, because it is my last semester. I would like to live my life to the fullest potential that I can. I want to do that by traveling and trying new things.

I selected this video because it reminds me that progress is made not only by the big wins but also by the daily decisions to keep going, even when things get tough. The message about letting go of past mistakes and embracing the possibility of new paths resonated with me, especially as we’re nearing the end of the semester and everything feels more intense. It reinforces the idea that we don’t have to be defined by what we’ve done, but rather by what we choose to do next. Additionally, I liked how it speaks to the power of self-forgiveness and stepping into the kind of person we want to become, which is something I’m working on personally. Watching this motivates me to finish the term strong, push past fatigue or distraction, and make these last weeks count.

This video seems to be age restricted due to the violent nature of the accident. I chose this video because it tells the story of Ken Roczen's return to the sport of motocross after a traumatic arm injury in 2017. Ken Roczen is a professional motocross racer who, during a race, had an unnatural takeoff from a jump, causing the nose of his bike to dive and him to bail from his bike over 30 feet in the air. He slammed headfirst into the back of a landing and destroyed his left arm. I remember watching the crash live and thinking that that was it – that he would never return to the sport. However, after an intense recovery, he not only returned to riding motorcycles, but still competes at the highest level to this day. His return to the sport from such a brutal injury is both inspiring and motivating.
